1.) What is BABES FEST?
BABES FEST is an ~ annual convening of minds ~ in Austin, Texas, celebrating and amplifying women and nonbinary artists. As a weekend-long exhibition, our performances, panels, pop-up markets, film screenings and networking hours span music, film, art, creative education and comedy. The festival is returning for its fourth year on September 6, 7 and 8, and has hosted more than 6000 guests and 200 artists in the last three years. Our daily schedule, 3-day passes and one-day passes for BABES FEST 2019 are available now.

2.) What is BABES FEST’s mission?
We believe in a good show. We believe in supporting new talent. And we believe that women and nonbinary artists, music lovers, creatives, producers, entertainers, cultural organizers and performers deserve space to see themselves to reflected. To discover new sources of inspiration, To support each other’s work. And to learn more about our industries.

Our production crews, staff, lineup and volunteers are 75% women and nonbinary folks. We come from a myriad of cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities and areas of expertise. BABES FEST does not and will not tolerate sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or disrespect toward marginalized voices of any kind, so bring your best self to the festival. :) Respect the space and respect the beauty, expertise and autonomy of those around you.

3.) Is BABES FEST only for women?
Art this good is meant for everyone. All babes and humans welcome.

4.) Where can I see the 2019 lineup?
This year, BABES FEST is comprised of seven events over the course of four days at four venues, featuring 75+ artists across music, film, comedy and art. You can attend the whole shebang or grab individual tickets. Click here for the day-by-day play-by-play.

5.) Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets are available here. You can purchase a $60 3-Day Pass or individual tickets for each show (which range from $5 to $25).

6.) Where is the festival?
The festival occurs across multiple venues from September 5 (opening night) to September 8 in Austin, Texas, including The LINE Hotel Austin at 111 E Cesar Chavez St. (Opening Reception on 09.05.2019 and DAY TWO day time events on 09.07.2019), the Motion Media Arts Center at 2200 Tillery St, Austin, TX 78723 (DAY ONE: The Film Showcase on 09.06.2019), The North Door at 501 Brushy St. (DAY TWO: Music Showcase on 09.07.2019) and Cheer Up Charlies at 900 Red River St. (CYBERBABES after-party on 09.08.2019).

7.) Where can I learn more about a venue’s accessibility?
Our venues are wheelchair-accessible and if you give our team a head’s up, we can always arrange for additional accommodations throughout your experience of the festival. The venues selected for BABES FEST also meet our production standards, which means they have adopted codes of conduct and their staff is trained to offer a safe and comfortable experience for all of their guests. 8.) If I'm traveling from out of town, where should I stay?
We suggest staying in Central or East Central hotels and locations. If you’d like to stay with some of our previous partners and venues, we recommend camping out at: The LINE Hotel Austin and Native Hostels. If you need help selecting your accommodations, please email thebabes@bossbabes.org.

9.) Will food and drink be available at each venue?
Every venue will have a bar with drinks available for purchase, as well as a selection of snacks available for purchase. For Day Two and Day Three events, there are many restaurants and eateries within walking distance of The LINE Hotel Austin, The North Door and Cheer Up Charlies. 10.) How should I get to the festival? What are the suggested modes of transportation?
Since our events are held across Austin in different spaces, we highly encourage utilizing ride-share, public transportation or carpooling. If you have a questions about getting to the fest, shoot us a line at thebabes@bossbabes.org, and we're happy to answer. :)
